Luton Town forward Jacob Brown has joined Championship side Portsmouth on loan until the end of the season as he looks to secure more consistent game time.

The 27-year-old signed for the Hatters from Stoke City in the summer of 2023 and has scored seven goals in 60 appearances in a Luton shirt, operating across the front line during his time at Kenilworth Road.

Brown’s involvement this season has been disrupted by a knee injury that delayed his start to the campaign until mid-November. Since returning, the Scotland international has made eight appearances, but has featured just once from the bench in the last nine matches.

The loan move will see Brown link up with fellow Luton player Milli Alli at Fratton Park, with Portsmouth competing in the Championship and offering the forward the chance for regular minutes during the run-in.

Brown will spend the remainder of the season on the south coast before returning to Kenilworth Road in the summer.
