Jacob Butterfield is fit for tomorrow’s Championship clash against Swansea, while Dan Potts and Martin Cranie are close to a return but may find it a game too soon.
Midfielder Butterfield was subbed off after an hour of last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Preston North End with a dead leg, but he was back training on Monday, so will be available tomorrow.
Boss Graeme Jones said: “He’s actually fine. He had two dead legs. He got a dead leg before half time and a dead leg after. He’s absolutely fine, he’s trained all week.
“Credit to him, he was out on the training field on Monday, showing a desire to play, so I’m pleased.”
Left back Potts has not played since the 2-1 win over Wigan a fortnight ago, while versatile defender Cranie has been out since the 3-0 reverse at Reading on November 9.
Asked about their progress, Jones said: “Not far away now. Obviously, we’ve got to navigate five games in 14 days so it’s not just four games in 11 or 12. There’s a game in the cup against Bournemouth, so I don’t want to take huge chances.
“If we needed to, tomorrow, it would be a gamble, but we’ve go a busy period coming up so we’re going to need everybody.”
