Leicester allegiances die-hard for new Luton loan signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who admits Foxes fans will be just as happy as Hatters supporters if he can help beat his parent club’s East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest tonight.

The midfielder, who joined on a season-long loan from the former Premier League champions, made his Hatters debut in Saturday’s 2-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday and now he’s hoping to make his Kenilworth Road debut aiming to please two sets of fans.

Dewsbury-Hall said: “I’m sure I will be happy if we win and I’m sure a lot of Leicester fans will be happy to see Forest lose! Obviously Luton fans will of course want to see Forest lose, so we’re all going to go there really hungry to get three points and propel up that league.”

After four wins in their opening seven Championship games, Town are seven points and ten places better off that Forest and could move into the play-off places with a victory.

“Personally, I think anything is realistic with this squad,” said the 22-year-old of the club he’ll spend this season at.

“It’s a great, hungry squad, no big egos, no-one that doesn’t work hard for the team so I think the sky is the limit this year.

“We’ve had a pretty good start to the season, we’ve had some good additions to the team and we’re going to try and push as high as we can until the end of the season.

“It’s a great bunch of lads, it’s a great club that is very ambitious. Yes they have come from a lower division but they have come into the Championship really thinking they belong here and they do belong here.

“So we’re really ambitious going into this season, we’re not here just to make up the numbers in the Championship, we want to really push and give a good account of ourselves and try and get as high in the table as we can.”

Luton boss Nathan Jones made Dewsbury-Hall one of his top targets after watching him on loan at Blackpool last term

The Leicester ace said: “As a player, especially going out on loan, you want to go to a club that you know you are really wanted and that the manager likes the way you play and really enjoys your style of play.

“Coming here, when I knew Luton were interested it was a pretty easy decision in the end because I know I’m coming to a manager that wants me to play and the style of play suits me a lot so it’s a match made in heaven really so I’m really excited to keep going and hopefully we can do something special at Luton this season.”
