Luton singer-songwriter Myles Smith has got some help in promoting his forthcoming single from one of the planet’s biggest pop stars as his dream year keeps getting better with an invite to play the halftime show at the inaugural NFL American football regular season game in Dublin later this month.

The BRIT Award-winning artist, who cites Ed Sheeran as one of his biggest musical heroes, has been teasing his next single, ‘Stay (If You Wanna Dance)’, which the ‘Shape of You’ star helped promote with an Instagram post, alongside the Lutonian.

This summer’s tour supporting Sheeran marked another major milestone for Smith, who has already amassed over a billion streams with hits including ‘Stargazing’ and ‘Nice to Meet You’.

He has enjoyed a meteoric assent in the past 18 months, winning the 2025 Rising Star BRIT Award, being named BBC Introducing Artist of the Year 2024 and Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.

Known for emotionally charged songwriting, he has performed at Glastonbury, Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton. His latest project ‘A Minute…’ and the single ‘Nice to Meet You’ continue to cement his status as one of Britain’s most compelling new talents.

For his Dublin performance on September 28, Smith will be joined by The Line-Up Choir, a contemporary Dublin-based ensemble, for some of his biggest songs during the half-time show at Croke Park between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers.

“It’s an honour to be part of the NFL’s first game in Ireland and be performing alongside all these amazing local artists,” said Smith. “Dublin has such great energy, and I hope my performance brings even more excitement to the day for fans attending and watching worldwide.”
