Luton gave games to ex-Netherlands international Erik Pieters and former-Shrewsbury Town youngster Vladimir Paternoster as they kicked off their pre-season with a 3-0 behind-closed-doors win over Stevenage at The Brache.
Defender Pieters has recently been released by Championship side West Bromwich Albion, having also played for Stoke City and Burnley in England.
The 35-year-old also played for FC Utrecht and PSV Eindhoven in his homeland before move to the Potters for £3million in 2013, then in the Premier League.
Pieters, who earned 18 caps for the Dutch, played the first half of today’s Luton friendly, while former Shrewsbury youngster Vladimir Paternoster came on as a late substitute.
The match saw Calton Morris scored from the penalty spot, while Tahith Chong and Joe Taylor also netted.
