Luton’s Player of the Season, Simon Sluga, has been selected in Croatia’s 26-man squad for Euro 2020.
The goalkeeper was an unused substitute in last night’s 1-1 friendly draw with Armenia, ahead of the European Championships starting on June 11, when the World Cup finalists face group games against England, Scotland and Czech Republic.
Sluga has previously said that being part of the competition “is one of my dreams as a child” adding: “I’m really happy, I’m really, really proud and it is something for me to wait for the official squad list but if I am in it, I’m going to be the happiest person ever!”
The 28-year-old is the third Hatter that will be involved in the tournament, after Joe Morrell and Tom Lockyer were selected in Wales squad.
