Luton have announced the appointment of former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper coach Imanol Etxeberria, who will work under newly promoted Head of Goalkeeping Kevin Dearden.
The Spaniard has been named as technical goalkeeping coach, having previously coached at the Basque club, working his way up through the youth levels to the first team, where he previously worked with now Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
At Kenilworth Road, Etxeberria will help coach the Hatters’ record signing Simon Sluga, last year’s League One golden gloves winner James Shea, Marek Stech and Harry Isted.
During his playing career, the 46-year-old made nearly 200 La Liga appearances, turning out for the likes of Bilbao, Rayo Vallecano and Eibar.
