Gabriel Osho appeared to reveal on social media last night that he is leaving Luton Town following the expiration of his contract, during a summer in which he has been heavily linked with a switch to Sheffield United.

The 25-year-old is currently a free agent after his Hatters deal ran out, though the club had announced in May that they were in talks over a new contract.

This summer, however, the defender has been heavily linked with a move to Sheffield United who were relegated with Town back to the Championship, though finished behind the Hatters and bottom of the Premier League last term.

The rest of the Luton squad returned to pre-season training last week, but Osho did not and after posting on his social media channels, it looks like Osho has decided to end his stay at Kenilworth Road.

The club retweeted his message on X (formerly Twitter), which read: ‘I love you guys so much! Thank you for everything over the past 3 years Hope to see you all soon.’

While on Instagram, many of his team-mates said their goodbyes after he posted ‘Had a really special 3 years, I love you guys so much. Thanks for everything’.

Fellow defender Amari’i Bell responded: ‘It’s been a been a hell of a journey patna’, forward Cauley Woodrow said: ‘Pleasure mate ❤️ will miss you’, striker Elijah Adebayo wrote posted: ‘Go well brother!!’ and Carlton Morris added: ‘Absolute pleasure Gabe, you’ll be missed’. Teden Mengi replied: ‘It really has been a pleasure broo, go get it !!’, while Jacob Brown said: ‘Really was a pleasure’.
