
Luton Town will return to Championship action in seven weeks after the EFL announced that the 2020/2021 season will commence on the weekend of September 12.
Fixtures are yet to be announced, with the Championship play-offs and Premier League relegation still to be decided, but it will be a condensed season that will end in the usual first week of May, on the 8th and 9th.
The Hatters secured their Championship status on Wednesday when they beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2 in the final game of the 2019/2020 season, which had been delayed by three months due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
