Luton Town defender Tom Holmes has joined League One side Rotherham United on a season-long.

The 25-year-old centre-half signed for the Hatters from Reading in January 2024 but immediately returned to the Royals on loan for the remainder of that season.

Holmes made his Town debut in a goalless draw at Portsmouth before being handed his first start in the 3-0 derby win over Watford. He went on to score his first goal for the club in a 2-1 victory against Derby County and made 20 appearances across the campaign.

In the second half of last season, Holmes had a loan spell in Belgium’s top flight at Dender but has only featured twice this term for the Hatters, so will aim to get more game time with the Millers.

He will now continue his development with the Millers for the 2025/26 season.
