Luton diver Amy Rollinson claimed her first individual national title after a superb performance in the Women’s 3m Springboard final at the 2025 Aquatics GB Diving Championship.
The 20-year-old delivered a composed and consistent display to edge out some of the country’s best on the second day of competition in Plymouth. Rollinson rose through the medal positions in the final rounds, finishing on 308.10 points to secure the gold and become British champion.
Her final dive – a well-executed Forward 2 1/2 Somersaults 1 Twist Pike (5152B) – sealed the victory ahead of Grace Reid, who claimed silver on 303.75, and early leader Yasmin Harper, who took bronze with 295.55.
The national title adds to a strong run of form for the former Luton Diving Club star, who is now coached by Stephen Hewatt, who recently competed at the European Championships in Turkey. Her latest success further boosts her credentials in a season where Olympic selection is firmly on the radar.
The result continues an impressive trajectory for Rollinson, who has become one of Britain’s next generation of elite divers – and now stands as the nation’s best on the 3m springboard.
Reacting to her title win, the former Stopsley High School student told britishswimming.org: “I’m shocked! I’ve just come back from Europeans which I was happy with in general but to be able to reproduce a good performance here is great.
“I was relaxed going into it, I felt I needed that approach as last week [in Turkey] I did that and almost enjoyed the competitions more so I tried to employ that tactic again and do the same thing. The focus coming in was to hopefully get all my dives on my head and so to actually win is great.”
She later posted on Instagram: “Super happy to be able to carry momentum from Europeans with a new PB and first individual national title.”
