Nathan Jones now has a full squad to select from and that will give him the option of making changes for tomorrow’s trip to Derby County.
Town have benefited from the international break, with a host of injured stars now back in contention and, as they evolve into a pressing, high intensity side, the manager admits that staying with the same 11 won’t be possible.
Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu returned in some style for Saturday’s 2-0 triumph at Millwall, while Admiral Muskwe and Fred Onyedinma were named on the substitutes’ bench, with the latter getting 11 minutes under his belt. Allan Campbell and Danny Hylton were not included but are now available for selection.
Jones said: “We have 100 per cent full availability so I will be able to make changes I’ll be able to make changes and freshen things up whenever I want and that is going to be important this week, it really is.
“The same 11 wont play three games and to do what we ask them to do so again, whether that is personal or formation, then we will freshen things up.”
Having ended a 22-year winless run at Millwall, Town now travel to face bottom of the Championship Derby, where they’ve not won since 1990.
Jones said: “These are here to be corrected, but we can only play what’s in front of us. We can only beat what’s in front of us, since I’ve been here we’ve only played Derby once away and have got a 100 per cent losing record, so we would like to change that.”
Talking of last term’s 2-0 defeat at Pride Park, Jones said: “We let ourselves down a bit really with we conceded early on and then we conceded straight after half time, we didn’t take the chances we created, so we were nowhere near the levels that we would like to attain.
“We want to learn from last year, it’s going to be a tough game, but we believe that we can give teams a tough game every time we play them.”
