JW Paris are back with another blast of high-octane indie rock, as they unleash their latest single, ‘Crazy’ – a statement of intent as they build towards a new EP this year.

Fronted by Lutonians Danny Collins and Aaron Forde and completed by former Babyshambles drummer Gemma Clarke, the band, who describe themselves as 90s-grunge-meets-Britpop, have already made plenty of noise both locally and nationally over the past few years.

JW Paris closed 2025 with the single ‘Anything’, which picked up spins from Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music and John Kennedy on Radio X. They also headlined a sold-out show at The Hawley Arms, the legendary Camden venue long associated with breakthrough British acts.

Now they return with ‘Crazy’, which was premiered on John Kennedys Radio X show earlier this month. Described as a riotous and relentless charge, the track dives into the psychological toll of repetition, capturing the sense of being stuck in a loop you cannot escape. Built around the classic definition of insanity, it explores what happens when routine becomes a trap and eventually a spiral.

Musically, ‘Crazy’ blends swaggering 70s rock with the ferocity of Queens of the Stone Age, the anthemic edge of Sam Fender and the raw electricity of Jack White. The result is one of the band’s most infectious and hook-heavy tracks to date, marrying grit with melody in their signature style.

Produced by Danny Sprigg and recorded at Foel Studio, the single captures the claustrophobia at the heart of its theme, with grinding riffs, relentless drums and vocals teetering between defiance and frustration.

Lyrically, the chaos is internal as much as sonic. Lines such as “feed the conversation, imitation doesn’t work, it’s true. I adore you” feel like an argument with yourself, acknowledging the strange comfort that can come from familiar destructive patterns.

The breakthrough moment arrives with: “Now I’m alive, I don’t need you anymore, I just need me to stick around to survive. And I’m alive”. Here, the “you” is not another person but the version of yourself holding you back, a declaration of self-reliance and clarity.

Following strong streaming numbers for previous singles from their 2024 EP, including ‘Geeks & Freaks’, ‘Who Are You’, ‘Alive’ and ‘You’ve Got Me’, and continued national radio support, JW Paris are pushing further into the spotlight.
