Left back Rhys Norrington-Davies’ season-long loan at Luton has come to an end as the Wales international has been recalled by his parent club Sheffield United.
The full back made 22 appearances in four months at Kenilworth Road and made his full international debut while with the Hatters.
It will be a bitter blow for Town after Blades boss Chris Wilder had insisted before Christmas that Norrington-Davies would see out the full loan spell.
The defender signed a new long-term contract with United last month and there were rumours of a recall then but the manager of the Premier League basement boys said: “No recall from Luton, we want him to stay there for the season and start building a career for himself.”
The Hatters yesterday recalled right back Peter Kioso from his loan at Bolton Wanderers.
