Kazenga LuaLua has signed a new Luton Town contract saying there was never a doubt that he would pen a new deal.
The wing wizard is the last of five Town players to agree to a new contract after Danny Hylton, Luke Berry, Elliot Lee and Glen Rea all signed.
The 29-year-old, who has made 59 appearances for the club, scored a crucial late winner at Hull in the penultimate game of last term, to set up a final day decider which saw them pull of a Great Escape preserve their Championship status.
The Hatters returned for pre-season training today and LuaLua, who originally turned down a deal last summer before thrashing out a return, joined his team-mates at The Brache, and told the club’s website: “There was never any question I wasn’t going to re-sign. I love it at Luton and I couldn’t leave it as late as last year!
“I was so happy with the way last season finished. Scoring the winning goal at Hull was massive but it wasn’t about me personally, it was about the whole squad, staff and club coming together to pull off the Great Escape.
“Those pictures afterwards summed up the spirit of this great club and the wonderful times we’ve experienced here.
“This is my third season but the first that I’ve been in from the very first day of pre-season, so I’m hoping to hit the ground running and really kick on.”
