Luton have been boosted ahead of the short trip to Stevenage tomorrow by the return from injury of three Hatters, and though there are “question marks” over others, the super sub showings from Tuesday night have given boss Matt Bloomfield some difficult choices to make.

Teden Mengi, Nigel Lonwijk and Jerry Yates are all available for the League One clash, with the two defenders recovering from ankle injuries, while the striker has sat out through a concussion protocol.

And as the third game of a three-game week, it gives boss Matt Bloomfield a few more options as he plats Town’s trip to their nearest neighbours.

However, he cautioned: “We’ve got a couple of question marks still from the other evening [at Blackpool] because it’s been a busy week and a couple of players who have maybe not been used to doing that so often.

“So we’ll pick a team, we’re ready to go, but we’re just making sure they’re all ready before we go tomorrow.”

Town came from 2-0 down at Blackpool to draw 2-2 with a last-minute penalty from Gideon Kodua on Tuesday. He came off the bench with the other goalscorer Jordan Clark and three other Hatters, who all helped to change the game from the hour mark.

“They all put their hand up to be selected, didn’t they? “I don’t think that’s in debat,” Bloomfield said, of the goal-getters and Joe Gbodé, Lasse Nordås and Jake Richards.

“So, yeah, there’s some selection headaches and some decisions that I have made and to be made, that will be out there tomorrow.”

The Hatters boss added: “The boys have got four points from this week, but we need fresh energy because Stevenage are very organised. They work incredibly hard.

“Revs [Alex Revell – Boro boss] has had real good consistency amongst their group, coupled with very good recruitment over the summer.

“I’m not surprised how they’ve started at all. So we’ve got to be at it tomorrow and we’ve got to be full of energy.”
