Luton have been drawn away to Fleetwood Town in the second round of the FA Cup after Gideon Kodua’s late winner saw off a spirited fightback from National League side Forest Green Rovers in a 4-3 thriller on Friday night
It will be the first time Town will face the Cod Army in the knockout competition and the first time in six years they will play them after they last met in League One in 2019. That year, the Hatters beat them 2-1 at Highbury Stadium thanks to goals from George Moncur and Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu, having also won at Kenilworth Road earlier in the campaign.
Since then, Luton have risen to the Premier League and slipped back to the third tier, while Fleetwood were relegated to League Two last year, where they currently sit tenth in the table.
The tie will be played on the weekend of Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 Decemeber.
