Students at Luton Sixth Form College have been celebrating after receiving their A-level and vocational results today.
The college recorded an overall A-level pass rate of 93.7 per cent, with 38.1 per cent of entries graded A* to B. While this high-grade figure is slightly down on previous years, the college said it reflects national trends and changes to grade boundaries following the pandemic.
Vocational qualifications saw a 93.2 per cent pass rate, with 47.4 per cent of students achieving a Distinction or Distinction*. Applied Law and Biomedical Science were among the courses with particularly strong results.
Principal and CEO Altaf Hussain said: “We are proud of every student who opened their results today. While this year has brought fresh challenges, it’s also shown the strength of our community — students, teachers, and support staff — working together with integrity and ambition. Our results remain strong, and we will continue to analyse outcomes to ensure we support every learner to achieve their very best.”
Director of Curriculum Mariam Hoq added: “These results reflect more than just academic ability — they speak to the character, commitment, and resilience of our students. We are especially proud of the many young people who have exceeded expectations and are now progressing to university, apprenticeships, and employment.”
The college said it remains committed to raising aspirations and delivering an outstanding experience for post-16 learners in Luton.
