Norwegian striker Lasse Nordås has spoken of his excitement with English football after completing a move to Luton Town from Tromsø for an undisclosed fee on transfer deadline day.

The 22-year-old joins the Hatters on the back of an impressive 2024 season, where he scored 11 goals in the Norwegian top flight, including two in four Europa Conference League games.

After completing his medical at The Brache, Nordås told the club’s website: “I’m so excited to get my boots on and start playing for this amazing team. I’ve been watching English football my whole life, and to soon be a part of it is amazing.”

Nordås, who has represented Norway at U19, U20, and U21 levels alongside fellow new Luton signing Thelo Aasgaard, has spent the last few seasons developing his career across top Norwegian clubs, including Bodø/Glimt and Tromsø, but he always had an eye on playing away from his homeland.

“When I heard of the interest from the club, it was a pretty easy choice,” Nordås revealed, adding: “I felt ready to take the step out of Norway, and I feel that this is a great step for me to take. I believe I can become better each day and also help the team by scoring goals and winning games.”

With the Norwegian league completed in December and clubs now in their off-season, acclimatising to the Championship may take some time, but Nordås said: “I will probably need a bit of time to adapt, but I want to make an impact on the team from day one.”
