Ross Barkley is back training for Luton, but the midfielder is unlikely to feature in Town’s Premier League clash at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow, which could mean a return against his boyhood club Everton next week.
The England international missed out on the 1-0 defeat to Fulham on Saturday, which confirmed the Hatters’ fourth straight defeat to start their top-flight campaign.
A hamstring issue sidelined the midfielder but he returned to training today, though Luton boss Rob Edwards said: “He’ll probably be a bit soon for tomorrow but we’ll build him up, probably towards the Everton game.
“Everyone else got through the Fulham game and came through the week well, so it’s just a couple of long-term ones that we’re aware of, so it’s as we were really.”
