Luton singer-songwriter Myles Smith last night made his television debut on BBC’s Later… With Jools Holland, to showcase his chart-topping track ‘Solo’ ahead of the release of his debut EP, ‘You Promised a Lifetime’.

The 25-year-old was in esteemed company for the first episode of series 64 of the BBC 2 flagship music show, as he performed in a room that contained Manchester legends Elbow, who played tracks from their tenth album ‘Audio Vertigo’ and Bristol’s Idles, who perform a couple of tracks from their album ‘Tangk’.

Smith first started gaining a loyal fanbase in 2022 after posting acoustic covers online. Now with a forthcoming sold out tour and with an upcoming hometown slot at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton, he made his first TV appearance.

Recently signed to Sony Music UK/RCA Records, Smith will release ‘You Promised a Lifetime’ on March 29. A six-track release, the EP will feature ‘Solo’ and one of his other huge hits ‘My Home’.
