Luton singer-songwriter Myles Smith has collaborated with former One Direction pop star Niall Horan to release a new single, called ‘Drive Safe’.

After sparking much anticipation on socials, the ‘Stargazing’ singer now officially lifts the curtain on the first official collaboration between the two artists – co-written together and the song, out now, reflects the close creative friendship the pair have developed.

Pairing Smith’s emotionally precise songwriting with Horan’s globally celebrated melodic sensibility, the track feels both intimate and effortless, shaped by a shared instinct for honest, heartfelt storytelling.

Speaking on the process of working with Horan, Smith said: “Collaborations only really matter to me when they come from something real, and working with Niall genuinely did. He’s got this effortless instinct for melody, but beyond that he’s a good friend who very quickly became one of my closest. Our friendship shaped the song, and hopefully you can feel it in every line!”

‘Drive Safe’ is built around the idea that life will inevitably throw curveballs and present obstacles, but those moments are manageable when you have the right people around you.

Balancing optimism with honesty, the song frames uncertainty not as something to fear, but as part of the journey – carried by a bright, guitar-driven energy that feels motivating and affirming. At its heart, “Life is a road, don’t know what’s along the way, so drive safe” becomes a message of reassurance, reminding listeners that connection makes even the hardest stretches feel less daunting.

Sonically warm and uplifting, ‘Drive Safe’ sees Smith continue to refine the heartfelt storytelling that has become a hallmark of his work, which has seen his smash-hit single “Nice To Meet You’ nominated for Song of the Year at this month’s Brit Awards.

Built around bright, acoustic textures and an open, understated production, this latest track creates space for both voices to shine – with Horan’s contribution adding an expansive, reassuring lift that reinforces the song’s sense of connection and optimism.

The release arrives at a moment of growing momentum for Smith. In the past 12 months, he’s played to over 100,000 people across his own sold-out headline shows in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America, in addition to a packed-out Glastonbury performance.

Last year he won the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work as well as the Rolling Stone UK Breakthrough Award, covering their Awards Issue. This summer, Smith will join Ed Sheeran as the main support for his US tour.

With ‘Drive Safe’, the Lutonian opens a new chapter – one defined by emotional clarity, artistic confidence and continued global growth – setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
