Luton’s alternative music venue, The Castle, is set to host a night of high-energy, thought-provoking live music this Saturday as Vandalism Begins at Home bring Coda Rushing, Longy and The Velvet Echoes to town.

No strangers to The Castle, headliners Coda Rushing have built a reputation for fiercely political, eternally danceable songs, with EPs like ‘Welcome To The Struggle‘ and ‘Methods of Escape‘ earning critical acclaim. Their live shows promise a mix of irresistible grooves and sharp social commentary. And last year they announced they are pulling their music from Spotify, citing concerns over artist treatment and controversial AI projects, though fans can still access their work via Bandcamp and other streaming platforms.

Supporting them is Longy, the Southend-on-Sea singer-songwriter known for his poetic, raw and chaotic performances, and The Velvet Echoes, a Yorkshire garage rock outfit delivering fuzzed-up riffs and dirty basement soul with a 60s flair.

Tickets for the show are £6 in advance, available through Dice here, with entry available on the door, though the price rises to £8.

For those planning ahead, Friday Night Live at Marsh House continues the local music buzz on April 3, with Luton Irish favourites Missing The Ferry performing, and still riding high on the back of their new single ‘Luton You’re A Lady. Tickets are £5.
