The Premier League has order Bournemouth and Luton to replay their game in full

Luton will have to replay Bournemouth in full later in the season, the Premier League has said, after the game was abandoned at the weekend after Hatters defender Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch.

The defender collapsed in the centre circle at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday just after the hour mark after Dominic Solanke’s equaliser had cancelled out Elijah Adebayo’s early opener.

The Welsh international needed lengthy treatment but was alert and responsive as he was stretchered off the pitch. He was later taken to hospital where he was reported as stable. He remains there undergoing tests.

Today the in a statement, Luton said: ‘The Premier League Board has decided that last Saturday’s fixture with AFC Bournemouth will be replayed in full.

‘The game will be rescheduled at for later in the season, with a date to be confirmed following the consultation with relevant parties.

‘The Luton Town ticket office would liek to add that ticketing information regarding the rearranged game will be announced in due course.’
