Wycombe interim manager Sam Grace has reaffirmed that star striker Richard Kone is fully committed to helping the club secure promotion as reports claim that Wanderers have rejected a third bid from Luton, believed to be in the region of £6million.

The Hatters, who this week have signed Kal Naismith and Thelo Aasgaard, appear determined to strengthen their attacking options and Kone showcased his value once again with a brace during Wycombe’s 2-1 comeback victory against Barnsley on Tuesday night.

His strikes brought his season’s tally to 19 goals, further strengthening Wycombe’s promotion credentials as they currently sit second in League One, just two points behind leaders Birmingham City and six points clear of third-placed Wrexham.

After the match, Grace praised Kone’s dedication and addressed the speculation surrounding his future. “I said it last week, and I’ll say it again, Richard wants to get promoted with Wycombe,” Grace told the Bucks Free Press, adding: “I don’t think anyone can have any doubts about his commitment as he is all in.”
