Stacey Dooley is set to take her acclaimed stage role on the road, as she embarks on the UK tour of 2:22 A Ghost Story alongside her partner, Kevin Clifton.
Renowned as one of Britain’s most loved documentary presenters, the Lutonian, who made her West End theatre debut in the play last year, will reprise her role as Jenny in the supernatural thriller, while Clifton joins her as Sam. This marks the first time the couple has worked together professionally since winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.
After last month releasing her third book and a hat-trick of documentaries on BBC Three, Dooley will once again be bringing her undeniable charm and authenticity to the stage, Dooley is excited to reconnect with audiences across the country in this gripping production.
Speaking about the opportunity, she said: “I’m thrilled to be slipping back into Jenny’s slippers! Truly. I had such a magic few months with 2:22 last year, I couldn’t be more excited to bring this incredibly clever show on the road! And with my Kev! Total dream, come see us!”
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Dooley said of making her acting debut in the play last year: “It was a delight, like the whole experience. I just thoroughly enjoyed it”
“I was probably slightly apprehensive, because it wasn’t my world at all. Actually, I just couldn’t get enough of it. And then, when the opportunity presented itself again, we wondered if there was a world where we could sort of do it together. And, yeah, here we are. We’re taking it all over the country.”
The highly anticipated tour kicks off on 4 August, 2025, at the Manchester Opera House, with Dooley and Clifton set to appear in cities including Bristol, Glasgow, Sunderland, Milton Keynes, Malvern, Stoke, Brighton, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Guildford, Southampton, Peterborough, Buxton and Crawley.
Since its premiere in 2021, 2:22 A Ghost Story has captivated audiences with its suspenseful storytelling and chilling twists. Written by Danny Robins, the man behind huge supernatural podcast and TV show ‘Uncanny’, the play follows Jenny, who believes her house is haunted after hearing eerie noises at exactly 2:22 AM each night.
However, her husband Sam, a sceptical scientist, refuses to accept the idea of the paranormal. One evening, the couple invites their friends over for dinner, leading to an intense debate and a night of terrifying revelations.
Having previously featured high-profile names such as Lily Allen, Tom Felton, Mandip Gill, Cheryl, Jay McGuiness and Giovanna Fletcher, 2:22 A Ghost Story continues to be one of the most talked-about stage productions in recent years.
