Teens charged with murder as victim in fatal stabbing named

Bedfordshire Police have charged two teenagers in connection with the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old Luton man Adam Khan, who has been formally identified as the victim.

Following the custody extension of a boy and a girl, both 16, the pair have been charged with murder. Both teenagers have been remanded into custody.

Officers were called to Humberstone Road shortly after 6pm following reports of a violent altercation between three people.

Upon arrival, Mr Khan, from Luton, was found in a life-threatening condition and taken to hospital, where he later died.

DI Adam Bridges, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Khan’s family and friends at this exceptionally difficult time.

“We have specially trained officers supporting them and would ask the media to respect their privacy as they come to terms with their loss.

“We recognise the impact this incident has had not only on Mr Khan’s loved ones, but also on the wider community, and we thank them for their support with our investigation.”
