Luton will be without Carlton Morris and Tahith Chong for tomorrow’s trip at Sheffield United, with the pair not passed fit for the Championship clash, though boss Rob Edwards has been boosted by the return of Shandon Baptiste.

The midfielder has missed been missing through for the last month but will return to contention just as Liam Walsh will begin his three-game suspension for his red card 36 seconds after being introduced as a substitute in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Oxford.

But the journey to Bramall Lane will be made without two key attackers who also missed the midweek game.

Morris had returned to training at the beginning of the week but hasn’t recovered from his thigh strain, while Chong is out due to concussion protocols after a head clash in the 3-1 defeat at Plymouth.

Boss Edwards said: “Obviously, Walshy’s not available because of the suspension. There won’t be anyone else, other than Shandon, coming into the squad.

“It’s too soon, unfortunately, for Carlton and Chongy’s not passed the test from the external neurologist so, unfortunately, he won’t be available either.”

However, Tom Krauß, who bagged his first Hatters goal on Tuesday and provided the assist for Jordan Clark’s opener, will be available after being withdraw on 51 minutes against Oxford.

And Jacob Brown, who made his first start since February after a lengthy knee injury, has come through unscathed.

However, like Marvelous Nakamba, Victor Moses and Krauß, Edwards said:“There’s a couple that for, the third game in a week, they’re not going to get through 90 minutes. So there’s going to be changes in game. But everyone’s come through it which is really really positive.”
