Luton captain Sonny Bradley has put pen to paper to remain at Luton and extend his contracts beyond this summer, with the defender highlighting some “unfinished business” of wanting to playing in front of Hatters fans again.
Bradley’s contract was up and there had been rumours of a move to League One Ipswich, though they were quashed last week with news that he’d agreed a new deal with Town after a successful three years at Kenilworth Road and 131 appearances.
Last term was a difficult time for the centre half after the sad death of his father Ray, but he returned to help his side to a top half of the table Championship finish.
“I’m really happy to have signed again,” said Bradley, after a season playing in empty stadia due to the coronavirus pandemic, adding: “I said recently that I can’t wait to walk out at Kenilworth Road in front of fans again, because we all know that roof is going to come off.
“We’ve come so far together and I feel that there is some unfinished business after what we’ve all been through over this past year and a bit. It’s going to be a real emotional day when that happens.
“I’ve been privileged to captain the club during such a successful period and I’m excited about what the future holds now we’ve established ourselves in the Championship.”
A new deal for left back Dan Potts was also announced with Bradley’s.
