Here’s your round-up of the reports and rumours from the final day of the 2026 summer transfer window, which shuts at 11pm tonight.
Luton Town have rejected a formal offer from Millwall of £1.5million for their number one goalkeepr Josh Keeley, according to Sky Sports.
The 23-year-old Irishman joined the Hatters last season from Tottenham and has made 51 appearances, while also making his international debut.
Keeley was beaten five times by Mansfield in a 5-2 hammering at the weekend, but is seen as key to Luton’s plans. Millwall have now turned their attention to Stevenage stopper Filip Marschall.
Luton Town linked with loan move for Ipswich youngster move
Luton Town are reportedly closing in on a loan move for Ipswich Town youngster Tudor Mendel ahead of this evening’s transfer deadline.
The 21-year-old winger, who signed a new two-year contract with Ipswich last week with an option for a further 12 months, is set to move to Kenilworth Road to continue his development under Hatters boss Jack Wilshere, according to Kings of Anglia chief football writer Stuart Watson.
Mendel has impressed at youth level since joining Ipswich from Belgian side Anderlecht in 2024, contributing 18 goals and assists in 20 appearances for John McGreal’s Under-21s last season as he was named the club’s Academy Player of the Year.
He has also made his senior debut this term, coming off the bench in Ipswich’s 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Leicester City last month, while adding three assists across two Premier League 2 and National League Cup appearances.
This would appear to be another move aimed at adding youthful attacking depth to Wilshere’s squad, with Mendel capable of operating out wide.
The Hatters currently have four players on loan – Jamie Donley (Spurs), Dan Gore (Manchester United), Harrison Ashby (Newcastle United) and Emilio Lawrence (Manchester City). The most club’s are allowed in a match-day squad are five so Mendel would complete the club’s loan dealings this term, if a agreement can be reached.

Luton Town reportedly eye experienced Wigan defender
Luton Town are reportedly among a number of clubs interested in Wigan Athletic defender Morgan Fox ahead of the transfer deadline, with fellow League One side MK Dons also said to be weighing up a move.
The 32-year-old centre-back has made more than 400 senior appearances during his career, having previously played for Charlton Athletic, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke City and QPR before joining Wigan in August 2025.
Fox made 41 appearances for the Latics last season and started their first two league matches this term, but has since been left out of their last two squads, including Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at AFC Wimbledon.
TEAMtalk journalist Graeme Bailey reported last night: “Luton Town and MK Dons are both looking at a deadline-day move for Wigan Athletic defender Morgan Fox, @TEAMtalk understands.”
Bailey added: “TEAMtalk understands that Luton and MK Dons are among a number of clubs preparing moves for Fox as the deadline approaches. Both clubs are assessing their defensive options and see Fox’s experience and versatility as potentially valuable for the remainder of the season.”
