Luton goalkeeper Simon Sluga has been called up to the Croatian national side to face Slovakia and Azerbaijan in next month’s Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The 26-year-old made his only international appearance in June’s 2-1 friendly defeat against Tunisia.
Sluga joins two other goalkeeper in the the World Cup finalists’ squad along with Aston Villa’s Lovre Kalinic and Dinamo’s Dominik Livakovic.
Croatia visit Slovakia on Friday, September 6, and then go to Azerbaijan on Monday, September 9.
Sluga is the second Hatter to receive an international call-up for the upcoming fixtures with last season’s top scorer James Collins getting drafted into the provisional Republic of Ireland squad for their games against Switzerland and Bulgaria.
