Luton will be boosted by the availability of defender Cody Drameh, midfielder Marvelous Nakambe and top scorer Carlton Morris for the Championship clash at Birmingham on Saturday after injury scares last weekend.
The frontman was replaced just before the hour mark as Town eventually lost 1-0 to Championship leaders Burnley, while Nakambe lasted 68 minutes before his withdrawal and there was an even earlier replacement for the Leeds loanee.
Drameh had already received treatment before he limped out of the clash after just 32 minutes, which was an immediate concern due to a knee injury which kept him out of the previous game at Preston North End.
But boss Rob Edwards today gave the left back the all-clear ahead of a league clash at St Andrew’s on Saturday.
“Cody was more of a knock, so is okay,” he said, adding: “We’re pleased about that, we knew it wasn’t the same injury, it was just from that tackle where he had to have treatment for a little bit in the first half, and unfortunately it was just too sore for him to be able to continue.
“But (it’s) a real plus to be able to have him available, we’ve got some really good options in those areas now.”
On the reasons for Morris’ early departure against Burnley, Edwards said: “Carlton was managing a few things recently and he was just starting to stretch quite a lot during the game, so I took him off more precautionary, it wasn’t an actual injury, so Cartlon’s been fine this week, he’s been able to train as well.
“Marvelous was starting to tighten up with his groin, but he is available.”
But Luton will be without their influential suspended centre half Tom Lockyer after the stand-in skipper earned two quick-fire yellow cards and dismissal for protesting over the 78th minute awarding of the crucial penalty that saw Burnley’s Ashley Barnes take all three points for the league leaders.
“Of course it’s frustrating, he’s been an outstanding performer for us, but it’s football and suspensions do happen,” Edwards said.
“Like I said after the game, emotions run high, he was in the game, he was in the moment and, yes, he’ll learn from that, but I’m not going to come on here and knock him one bit.
“He’s passionate, he showed that passion and I think, actually, the situation could have been handled a little bit better if I’m being honest anyway, from the referee’s point of view.
“So, we’re missing him, but we’ve got really good options in that area, and it’s an opportunity for other people.”
Lockyer has been one of Town’s best players this term, having not been a first choice early in the campaign, and earning a place in Wales’ World Cup squad.
Edwards said: “No-one wants to miss any football, he’s been really consistent and he’ll be frustrated as we are as well but he’s got to support us now.
“He’s been really good in training this week and he’s got to make sure he’s right and ready to come back in and he’s got to support the group now, the players that are going to out there and hopefully deliver for us at the weekend.”
