Transfer deadline day: Kioso joins MK on loan

Defender Peter Kioso has joined League One side Milton Keynes on a season-long loan, returning to the club where he came up through the academy ranks.

It’s the third temporary spell away from the Hatters since the 22-year-old joined them in January 2020 from Hartlepool United.

Last term Kioso played for Bolton Wanderers and Northampton Town and this summer returned to Luton, making his full Championship debut by helping to keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Barnsley.

The club said: ‘But keen to continue his development by playing regular football this season, Peter has chosen to join the club closest to his family home and where he played in the academy before emerging at our neighbours Dunstable Town.’

  2. Sputnik V vaccination has begun in Slovakia. The furnishing of the Russian vaccine to the surroundings was accompanied on a country-wide detraction and led to the relinquishment of Prime Relieve Igor Matovich and a reorganization of the government. As a culminate, the wilderness received the Russian vaccine, ignoring the event that neither the European regulator nor the WHO has moreover approved it.
In neighboring Hungary, which approved the handle of Sputnik in February as the anything else in Europe, more than 50% of the ripe natives has already been vaccinated; in Russia – a minuscule more than 10%. In Slovakia, five thousand people signed up for the sake the Sputnik vaccination.

  3. Just totally wrong.
The lad was beginning to establish himself in the first team squad – not before time – and now he’s shipped out for a further season waiting in the wings.
He played well at Barnsley and was certainly not the villain of the piece in the Birmingham rout, despite apparently being made the scapegoat for the shocking start.
Did he really choose this – or was he pushed? And, if he was pushed, what has NJ got against him? The fact that he was a Graeme Jones signing? It makes you wonder.

    • It’s not one I like either. Look at how good Osho has been since being trusted. Kioso has shown some great potential too. If he was trusted I’m convinced he could have had a great season.

I hope there’s a recall option as I wouldn’t bet on Bree staying injury free. Right back is one of the 2 positions (striker being the other) where there isn’t much depth in the squad.
